these whiskey
soaked notions
swimming in
my head

a dark-haired
goddess enters
and walks my

a clear sign that
life has beaten
me down is i
never think at
all that there’s
a chance in hell
she’ll sit in the
chair next to

imagine my

i’ll have another
one as i motion
to the bartender

one with a little
extra courage


just another asshole seeking immortality

my bed feels
like a coffin
these days

good practice
i guess if they
forget my wishes
to be cremated
and have the
ashes put in
dime bags for
all the people
at the funeral

just another
cheap ploy
hoping that
i’ll never be
